Im sorry to report that my buddy, Jon L. in Scottsdale, AZ just got laid off from the same company that I was laid off from about 4 years ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you were just laid off, “don’t sit back on that severance”. That is the LAST thing you want to do. Now is the time where you are basically getting a paid vacation to startup exactly what you want to do!
This is the perfect time to start a business. Millions of people are sitting at a job they hate wishing that they could just have a couple days off to get started. That is all they need, just a little TIME to get going!
So, now you have just been laid off and rather than seizing this HUGE opportunity that has been handed to you, you are going to choose to sit back and relax….???
GO BIG, OR GO BACK TO A CUBICLE.
Jon, keep your head up and use what you know! You have immense knowledge that others are seeking! Put it out there in the form of a business, and you WILL SUCCEED.
later.
PS. ONE MOMENT, WILL YOU CAPTURE IT, OR JUST LET IT SLIP?

In the pursuit of the perfect job and all the money and happiness attached to it, I’ve been “downsized” a couple of times myself. I decided to return to school and work towards a teaching license and instead of money, go for a career with less material rewards. After one year in the public schools, I’m again without a job. With one daughter starting college and another in braces, “the money” is an object for my husband and me. However, what is most critical is that time is slipping away, precious time worrying about paying the bills when our girls are growing up and out. Your story is inspirational and I would love to hear more!
